The research and development of electrospun composite technology not only overcomes the limitations of some non-woven products, increases the variety of patterns, greatly expands the application fields of electrospun non-woven fabrics, but also promotes the development and improvement of electrospun technology and even the entire non-woven fabric process.
(1) Composite technology of water jet and wood pulp airflow forming a web. Due to the fact that wood pulp is much cheaper than short fibers commonly used in the water jet process, and the moisture absorption and texture of fluff pulp are both good, the products made from it are cheaper than those made entirely from fibers, and are competitive in price, but have high requirements for filtration systems in terms of technology. The product can be used as wiping cloth (70% g/m2), diaper, and sanitary napkin inner core material. The equipment for combining water jet and wood pulp airflow into a mesh includes Aquapulp from Fleissner and Airace from Perfojet.
(2) Composite technology of water jet and filament spun viscose fiber mesh. The composite product of this method combines the stronger market strength of spunbond nonwoven fabric with better absorption performance of short fibers. It is also more uniform and soft than spunbond nonwoven fabric, with water and oil absorption functions, and higher strength. It can be used as food packaging cloth, decorative cloth, and cleaning cloth, etc. The equipment for combining water jet and spunbond methods includes Aquqspring and Aquasplit from Flerssner. And Freudenberg's Evolon processing technology.
(3) Hydroponic and wet web forming composite technology. The typical process of Detex's Hydraspun technology is composed of Detex's wet web forming technology combined with the Soflom water jet method registered by Japan's Unichar company. The strength and softness of Hydraspun wet spunlace nonwoven fabric are equivalent to or even exceed traditional dry spunlace nonwoven fabric, and wet spunlace nonwoven fabric does not shed debris. Its seam tensile strength is twice that of dry spunlace nonwoven fabric, especially suitable for the clothing field.
